Welcome to ADiCT, the event calendar for groups of independent organizations.

Your problem

You have an organization which make some events on a regular basis. Your organization is not the only one in your area and you want to inform your members of what is going on else where. You want to have a homepage with the most informative up to date and relevant information and you do not want to use a lot of time with maintenance of the homepage. Also, you want other organizations to show your events.

Most important for you is that your own events are up to date and you will not rely on any third party administrator to keep them up to date.

You need ADiCTTM
The distrbuted event calendar for independant organizations.

Of course you do not want to lose any of your members to the other organizations, and you tie them to you with better events than the other organizations would ever dream of.

In the tar-ball you are about to download you will find examples of how your list of event could look on your homepage. 'Could look' because we hope you will change the lay-out to fit the rest of your homepage.

Unfortunately the language is not in english on the demos as we use a 'strange' language only spoken by a few souls. Language will be changed to english when requested.

Sites running ADiCT

To use all the features of ADiCT you will need a webserver with Perl and PHP. If you do not have Perl and PHP we have another solution for you. Please consult the system documentation for information about the principles of the ADiCT system.

DOWNLOAD NOW the latest tar-ball.

About ADiCT

ADiCT is an acronym for 'Anarchist's Distributed event Calendar'. It has not yet been decided what the 'T' in ADiCT stands for. Maybe we will decide it some day maybe not. Some claim that it stands for 'turtle'. Feel free to replace 'T' with any word you like. Welcome to a free world of independant organizations.

'Anarchist' implies that no one control you. You decide what to be published and when. 'Distributed' because you share your information with others.
